Chicago Riverwalk - If your date enjoys sightseeing and witnessing Chicago's historical landmarks in person, this is the best choice for you. Starting from Lake Shore Drive, the Riverwalk takes you down Wacker through the heart of the Loop, passing numerous shops, restaurants, skyscrapers and museums. This is the perfect place to take candid photos or even jump on a water taxi. (Great for dates who: enjoy walking, historical buffs, and boat lovers.)

Chicago Outdoor Film Festival Classic Movies at Grant Park - The epitome of romantic dates, movies at Grant Park offers free movies every Tuesday night starting July 14until August 25. Make sure to bring a few blankets and find yourselves a secluded spot after sunset when they will be playing classic titles such as Psycho and Sunset Boulevard. (Great for dates who: live for classic movies and only plan on staying together from July to the end of August.)

The Botanic Gardens - One of the most beautiful sights in Chicago, the Botanic Gardens has over 20 gardens displaying some of the world's most beautiful flowers and plants simulated in their natural habitats. It is also home to scientific research on plant science and conservation. Admission is free and it is open until September 7. (Great for dates who: Truly want to impress their lady or who have a green thumb and live a green lifestyle.)

Risqué Café - Located in Wrigleyville, this American Draft (no imports whatsoever) and Smokehouse is a great place to bring your main man. With daily specials ranging from "All You Can Eat Wings" for $6 to $2 PBR Tall Boys, this can easily become one of those places you frequent with your significant other. The friendly staff and pin-up girl pictures on the wall just add to the ambiance. (Great for dates who: want to impress their man, love domestic beers, and don't mind sexy pin-ups on the wall.)

Mindy's Hot Chocolate - Hands down the perfect place to take your date for dessert. Mindy Segal and her staff serve the most delectable desserts in the Chicagoland area, from their signature hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows to the "Chocolate #1," which consists of a Colombian chocolate ganache stuffed with a chocolate soufflé and served with salted caramel ice cream and a homemade pretzel. If you are looking to satisfy your partner's sweet tooth, this is the only place to go. (Great for dates who: love chocolate, love dessert, love food.)

The Art Institute of Chicago - With the new Modern Wing opening and the proximity to Millennium Park, The Art Institute of Chicago is a no-brainer for a great date place in Chicago. Home to over 300,000 art pieces and the Modern Wing, you and your date can get lost in Renoir or gaze into the extensive photography gallery. Thursdays and Fridays 5pm to 9pm are free this summer. If you really want to impress, make reservations at the new restaurant inside the museum, Terzo Piano. (Great for dates who: are art buffs, love museums, or are psyched about the Modern Wing.)

The Chicago Segway Tour - Not everyone likes walking, but everyone is fascinated by segways. So if you and your date want to spend more time looking at the sights and not worrying about aching feet, a segway tour of the city is the way to go. Ranging from $60-$70, the Chicago Segway Tour takes you all over the city (the tour is three hours long!) For many, this is the best way to absorb the sights without having to drive a car or walk all day. Not to mention you and your date get to wear bright green helmets! (Great for dates who: hate walking, like wearing helmets, love technology.)

Bike ride down LSD - Simple enough, biking along Lake Shore Drive is one of the cheapest yet most entertaining ways to spend time with your date and see some of Chicago's landmarks, such as Buckingham Fountain and Navy Pier. And when the peddling becomes too much, you can always take a seat by the lake and just enjoy the time spent together. And you thought there was only one kind of LSD. North Avenue Beach - If you're the couple that loves to soak up the sun and people watch, North Avenue Beach is the answer. Notorious for being the busiest beach in Chicago, North Avenue Beach offers you and your date the best place to take a dip in Lake Michigan and enjoy the scarce days of Chicago summers. Tsuki - A dinner date is never a real dinner date unless it involves sushi. Tsuki, located on Fullerton Avenue has one of the most intricate sushi menus in Chicago. From Spicy Pinenut Tuna to Hotate Volcano Sushi, this is a great place to push your fears of raw fish aside and try some with your date.
